interesting Idea....

This is kinda like Pass the star (who has that thing right now anyways?)

I have an idea. a fun project really. Pass the Digital camera, basically. I'd send out a cheap point and shoot camera. to one of the members here. they'd take a couple photos, send it on to the next person in the line etc, Eventually the few memory cards on it would come back and I'd share it's journey. The idea is take a couple photos of either something spectacular around you, scenery, historical building. something in nature, something abandoned or rusting away etc almost anything, something that says something about your location..

Would anyone be interested in this? I think it can be fun.

I'd join in too but I think it is best that I just email a few interesting shots 'cos of international postage and customs problems...

I've never had problems with intl shipping before. Can't be that much oh a cheap-o point and shoot camera. Can't see them get too chuffed about that. Pus if there are other participants overseas it'd save on some shipping.

I like the positive start to this

Well, how it would work is the participants when it's decided when to do this would Email their addresses to me, I would send out the camera to the first person on the list, with the camera would come the next person in the chain, after they took a couple pictures then I'd PM out the next address, if the memory card gets full I'd overnight out a new memory card and the old one can be sent back here and the chain continues til the list is Exhausted or until it's time for it to go overseas, Alternatively I could send out two cameras, one for the US and one for overseas if we have enough participants. same thing would work with the memory card

I was thinking about that. Something like 2-4 pictures per person.

we all have cameras I assume.. Except Tom W since he always talks about these cool things and never seems to ever have a camera around ... but why not just have members take pictures of their area and share them.....

Uniformity, some people have nice cameras some people have old cameras, sending one out will be a uniform camera picture. Plus it makes a fun cool story. That's why.
