Actually I think it started with Eisenhower.

If you look at how many rounds are being purchased vs. how many people are employed by Homeland Security it breaks down to 146 rounds per person per year. That just over 12 rounds a month.

So one clip a month for training and it is all gone.

Could it be that Conservatives oppose target practice?

1.5 billion rounds is 20 years worth....

If they buy the ammo to back door gun control, why don't they just buy all the illegal drugs and stop crime altogether?

Now you're up to something.

Twenty years worth? So now each agent has 24 rounds a month?

Clearly there is something here to be all terrified about.

If anyone figures out what it is then please let the rest of us know.

Why do we have so many armed civilian federal agents? No conspiracy theory, just wondering.

But they are supplying most of the illegal drugs....

Maybe our government should just start making the ammo. Hell, and the guns too. Put some people to work, and save some money.
What could possibly go wrong?

An excellent question.

Because they couldn't make any money from the "drug war". Their business model is to allow the sale of drugs and then confiscate the profits.

If you wanted to ensure that there will always be guns available, then just support the "war on guns"

Well...... let me think..... I think you even left a hint in your statement...... Maybe the difference is that guns are legal and even written in your own statement drugs are ILLEGAL.

Naw, I didn't think so.

Conservatives have cried 'Wolf!' so many times.... I guess there must be big money in it.
OK but what is the DHS actually doing. I mean how often compared to a City Police Department do they actually Shoot someone and expend any Ammo?
Another thing is that Crimminals like Bank Robbers and Terrorist have started wearing Body Armor; the Hollow Points won't be as effective on them. This makes Me think the DHS targets are going to be "soft" targets.

I am more inclinded to believe what is said below as s response from one of the websites.
"Anonymous says:

The ammo used for training is NOT hollow point ammo. that is the key word which reveals the real truth of what they are planning for. hollow point amoo is banned for use in war-theater by the nato treaties. they are PLANNING to kill americans. and janet/dyke/napolitano doesnt have to answer to anyone. it is a czarist agency of the executive office, er.. the executioners offices."
Another interesting Thought; How Much Ammo do they already have?
"JohnDPMP says:

One thing nobody mentions or ever considers is this simple fact:
How many bullets did the DHS have on hand BEFORE they started this massive purchase program/buildup? The have now bought far over 2 billion bullets recently….but how many were stockpiled before? How many IN TOTAL do they actually have now?
Likewise, they have just recently purchased another 2,700 armored vehicles as part of this huge buildup for war with the American people, but how many tanks did they have BEFORE this latest purchase? I have been seeing these armored vehicles for years, so I know that the DHS has had thousands of these vehicles prior to this latest order of an additional 2,700. So I once again ask this very pertinent question: Now exactly how many of these armored tanks does the DHS have on hand to wage war against US citizens since they added 2,700 to their ALREADY EXISTING STOCKPILE?
Can ANYONE answer these critical questions?
The new purchases are only part of the story folks. We need to understand exactly what we are facing IN TOTAL. This repugnant police state organization was not exactly “resource poor” before this tremendous outpouring of taxpayer funds included in this buildup to obvious war/martial law against us."
