Good price for 126 tail light?
I need a tail light for my 85 500sel. There's one on Ebay going for around $60. It looks in fairly good condition. I know that a new lens is like $141 but is $60 a good price for a used one?

Have you tried the breaker yard yet. Should be about $50 or so for a complete assembly, maybe less. Plus you have the luxury of poking around and finding the best lens on the lot.

Yes I need some other things also. I might find them at the junk yard. Thanks for the suggestion.

I've seen them go for as little as $20 on ebay so keep looking if you can wait.
There was a monovalve repair kit on ebay this weekend. The bidding was over $45. FastLane sells it for something like $30. Sixto 91 300SE 81 300SD |

I found a 'new-old stock' taillight on E-Bay for my '60 220S, for $85. Earlier, I found a fair used one for $10. These are hard to find in salvage yards now. (Someone in the Vintage Mercedes recycling buisiness told me that my 220S lens is still availible from Mercedes for $800 !)
Happy Motoring, Mark
