Remove the intake shrouding enough to introduce a jigger full of gas and see if it will try to start. If it will cough and sputter a little, then you know you have spark. Do NOT get the idea to squirt gas in while someone is trying to start it. Many people have been burned unrecognizable by doing that. Simply throw in a little gas, set the container away from it and quickly see if it will try to run.

A good place to start. If it tries to run, then you have spark and compression. If it does not, then you most likely have a fuel supply issue.

You don't need to know much about Mercedes to determine if its fuel or electric issue.

Not really enough information. Do you have a friend that is pretty good at fixing cars? If so it may help for him to have a quick look with you.
