Where can I find that list? Sounds like fun

One is the government intentionally violating the individual right of privacy and the other is a an unintentional outcome of the individual right to bear arms.

Do you not see a difference or is the outcome all that matters to you?

It was and it is.

All part of the dog and pony show we now call national security.

I see it as hypocrisy, that one right is maintained as sacred while others are trampled.

Let them spy ,their going to do it anyway, the only problem I have is when they go outside the bounds of freedom of speech .If they shut down all aspects of the whistle blowers freedoms who are signaling out clear wrongdoings then thats when weve become a State like China or Russia ,living in fear of our own govt. ,its a reality for them .

This account is fairly horrifying. On the one hand, i'd like to have gotten the gig to set up the infrastructure, on the other, what a boundry-less intrusion!!!

I would have loved the contract too, and I don't *usually* take pride in doing shoddy work that's highly expensive to fix.

Setting it equal to the number of firearm deaths per annum would be a start.

If I am forced to choose between government tyranny or some deaths due to terrorism, I will choose the few deaths, rather than the oppression government. That oppression robs the very spirit of man.
Now that I have said that, can you give a 100% iron-clad promise that if we were to allow the government to trample on our rights that there would never be another death due to terrorism? Its the same sort of question you posed to me.

Giving up freedom and rights for security is a loser's game because there never will be 100% protection from unlawful acts. Therefore you yield your rights for nothing more than a promise that will never be kept. You deserve neither freedom, nor protection.

Perhaps if people defended the others with the same zeal they defend #2 then we wouldn't be as concerned about the infringement on them all.
