Apparently, a subset of the ultra-Orthodox crazies in Brooklyn really don't like cyclists (after all, some of them happen to be women who are scantily clad).

New York is full of crazies. It's not rocket science- when you pile people on top of people thing get ugly and folks are shltty to other people. That far outweighs the positives.

Nothing to do with density. Those Hasids are the Jewish equivalent of the Westboro Baptist Church, which is a rural organization.

And of course the hand full in the video represent the whole.:rolleyes:

Who said they do? Certainly not the video posted. Get off your high horse. No one said anything about these particular jews representing the whole of religion.

If they were locked up in a room with no exit, then your analogy would apply. This isn't a NYC problem or a Jewish problem. This is a problem with extremist dumbkopfs, rural or urban. Jewish, Christian, Muslim, or Hindu. This video just shows that crazy can show up on unexpected places and it saddens me.

I recommend that some of those fella's become involved in some sort of a diet program....the one they are on aint workin.

The guy on the bike acted like an imbecile while the driver of the van acted like a fat imbecile. At the time the driver decided to block the guy on the bike and start harassing him the driver risked losing some teeth or worse.

As it worked out, the belligerence of the driver was successful at intimidating the guy on the bike. I guess the moral of this is if you put two half-wits together and surround them with a bunch of witnesses, you may get a non-violent outcome. Sometimes

I was thinking the same thing...that situation could have gotten WAY out of hand, fast, quick and in a hurry.

A bike lock on a heavy chain, applied before his friends arrived, would have shut his cultish mouth right there (or at least kept him spitting teeth on the street).

I don't see why you call the cyclist an "imbecile".

Link appears to be an American. Americans tend to think that only steel cages on wheels have any real right to use the road.
