Court Marshal Allegedly Sexually Assaults Woman, Then Arrests Her For Protesting

The whole thing is disgusting. And the hearing officer just playing with her daughter (hopefully to distract the daughter from the ongoing trauma and not to make it easier to ignore the issue) while Contreras pleads with her only compounds my disgust.

In her book, "The Woman Who Wouldn't Talk: Why I Refused to Testify Against the Clintons and What I Learned in Jail", Susan McDougal talks about how male prison guards keep mentally ill female prisoners naked in jail cells so they can come by and gawk at them. Once a day, they bring a fire hose in and hose off the feces and urine......can you say disgusting?

She also speaks about using the toilet while having her period with blood gushing everywhere and having prison guards WATCH (GAWK???).

Your tax dollars at work, again.

I am pretty astonished to read about this.

For many many years I worked daily with Courtroom "marshalls" in San Francisco Criminal felonies (the Sheriffs dept. handled this kind of thing) and procedure was long established that female deputies handled the search functions as regards female inmates/arrestees.

Totally eliminates this kind of problem.

Time for an immediate change in policy in Nevada.

No jail: if the story is true, they should be given the gas chamber, same as any other rabid dog. I'm normally against executions, but I'd make an exception for officials who abuse their power to commit violent felonies.

Until they fawk with the wrong person (very possible in Vegas) and end up as part of the cement foundation of a new casino building.
