Jack Daniels Collector Question
A client of mine, long ago deceased, gave me a bottle of Jack Daniel's Old #7 many years ago. Probably sometime in the late 1980's. It has been sitting in a barrister book case in my office ever since.
In the original box, full, seal unbroken, one side of the seal has come unglued, the other is attached to the bottle. 1.75 ltr. long neck decanter shaped clear glass. "Tribute to Tennessee" Worth? |

It is a higher "proof" than the 2013 JD #7
JD cut the "proof" a few years ago from 90 to 80 so it has a better kick than 2013 JD#7...but it prolly ain;t worth nothing.

It's worth whatever the traffic will bear like most collectibles. That was indeed 90 proof whiskey, better than the newer 80.
It's a nice decanter. Empties are worth 30-50 bucks, maybe double or triple that with the contents intact and all the paperwork. I'd make Manhattans out of the contents and use the decanter for something other than corn likker. Whistle Pig or Anchor 18th Century Rye.
