Jenn-Air Gas wall oven doesn't reach temperature -- set to 400, wouldn't pass 155

We have a 30" Jenn-Air gas wall oven running on natural gas. It is about 3-4 years old. It will not heat up. Do you guys have any ideas?

Problem: Oven will not warm up past 175. After we opened the door briefly, it would not pass 150.

Observations: We never hear the fan (or blower, whatever the thing is that blows warm air into the oven) turn on. Also, our gas burners (separate range) work just fine. The gas line running to the oven appears to be open.

Thoughts: Should I measure the actual oven temperature with an oven thermometer?

Thermostat gone bad...

Thanks for your input! I have some further questions: the oven shows on the "screen" that it is only at 155, when we want 400. Are there two different thermostats -- one displaying oven temp and the other regulating oven temp? If the answer to that is no, then why is the blower not coming on? Is only the part of the thermometer that regulates the temp down?

Have you used an oven thermometer to verify the display temp.

Had the same problem with the same symptoms; wouldn't heat to even 275F or if it did, it would take 2hrs+ to get there. Most likely the upper igniter is shot! While I was in there, I replaced both and it works perfectly again.

When my GE range was acting up it wound up being the ignitor. It's really just a glow plug.

When my GE range was doing the same thing it was a faulty ignitor also.
$25 fix

Here is link to some diagrams and parts for your oven.

I had to replace two thermal fuses and control panel on my KitchenAir Superba. The power failed when the top oven was in the middle of a clean cycle.

I would bet there is a thermostat regulating the oven temperature and the thermometer reading the oven temperature.
