Tyler, is this your beauty?

http://jalopnik.com/for-3-200-you-oughta-reatta-513798371

Remember you getting a Reatta not too long ago, this one is at Wichita. Just wondering, would be cool if it is!

I'm going with yes (he just recently bought a Herbie). One heckuva coincidence otherwise!

I drove this car to Florida and back for the Amelia Island Concours with no problems and averaged 26 MPG.

Congrats!
good catch, and I totally forgot about the Herbie show car! The Jalopnik opinion is definitely in his favor too, which is actually unusual there.

You're right, on balance it was...pretty balanced...for a Jalopnik piece.

That car was interesting to me until I saw that not only is it front wheel drive, but an automatic as well. Neat looking though.

im amazed that digital readout is still working. Hopefully it sells before it goes blank.

Had a boss with the same car, digital readout was bad, and not only are those parts impossible to fix, but they command several grand from what he said to buy another one. He was trying to adapt a newer set of easier repaired pushbutton controls.

Not sure it ever got repaired though.

Just another variation of the GM E platform. I have to say its a great looking car though, shame it's not mid engined, looks like it should have a mid-mounted 4cyl like the MR2

MR2 is exactly the configuration I was thinking about. Taking a fwd engine and transaxle and mounting it in the rear doesn't really make it a mid engine, but the MR2 proves that it's plenty close enough. In many ways it is superior to a true mid engine, mainly because of maintenance access.

Looks like they let Toyota out think 'em in this case.

Come to think of it though, isn't that how the Fiero was configured?

The Fiero and the Fiat X1/9 (FWD Fiat 128 drivetrain dropped in behind the seats).

Yes it is, that's hilarious.

Still no bites despite the giveaway price.

Not true.... Rebuilt screen with 2 year warranty. $449.00

CRT ECC Touchscreen 1988 1989 Buick Reatta or Riviera | eBay

Used about $150.00

Have the 500SL, Herbie, and now a Honda S2000, along with the Roadmaster and Acura. This car is the weakest link.

They were in pretty bad shape and I don't have storage. Scrapped them.
