Damn. Always liked him as an actor. Made Tony Soprano simultaneously likeable, despicable, pathetic and sympathetic. RIP.

Every time I hear this I think about sitting on the couch with the Mrs. with a bowl of popcorn, kids in bed, a beer in my hand a glass of wine and hers, eagerly awaiting what was to come after the introduction that we never missed.

I'll admit to never having seen The Sopranos. That said, I really liked James Gandolfini. Terrific actor, no matter what the role, he brought something really special to it.

My favorite role of his was Bear ("Get Shorty"). Lots of stuff to like with what he did with what would have been a two-dimensional character (at most) in the hands of a lesser actor.

RIP, Mr. Gandolfini. Thanks for sharing your talent.

Maybe i'll stop at Satin Dolls (the Bada Bing) in Lodi on the way home tonight. I'm sure there'll be some kind of tribute happening. R.I.P.
