Anyone familiar with 4L80E innards?

Anyone familiar enough with the 4L80E to know what's going on when the torque converter drains when the vehicle isn't used for a few days?

Thanks,
Sixto

The seals are hardened. Put it in neutral for 20-30seconds before trying drive or reverse, fluid doesn't circulate when it's in park.

Pump does not work in Park? what sort of transmission is this?

dodge is the only ones i ever remember that the pump did not circulate in park.i believe the 4l80 is pretty similar to the old turbo 400 in which case there is a check valve in there that holds the fluid from bleeding out .my old chevy if i drive it every week or so no problem but if it sets for a couple months it will drain the converter and then basically overfill the trans and it will leak out on the floor.
