Eating while driving more dangerous than texting?

Eating while driving 'more dangerous than using phone' - Telegraph

I can believe it -- drop a box of fries, reach down to grab it ... crash ... tinkle. Maybe if the US banned it, we'd have safer roads and less obesity. I'd call that a win.

(I've never liked the idea, since I'm more of a road side diner guy than a Mickey Dee's guy.)

Stuffing your face with salty greasy drippy goo while doing other things that should be occupying your complete attention is an American Tradition. It has been forever, or at least for like 20 years. How dare you make such a suggestion? What are you, some kinda commie-pinko-nannystate TOOL??

I could have sworn that TX had drive-through beer places, and actually allowed open containers in the 90s. You could drink and drive as long as you weren't over the limit for drunkenness.

I prefer vodka tonics in red solo cups for stealth when motoring.

When I was sixteen I had a job in Indy which was a 45 min drive from Greencastle. Dad let me drive mom's car in to work.

One day a bunch of us were driving to lunch....I was driving and had no shirt on since it was about 90 degrees and 90 percent humidity. The fellow in the back seat dropped his cigarette down my back. I completely let go of the wheel and turned around to get the cig off my back. If the fellow sitting on the right in the front seat hadn't grabbed the wheel we would have ended up in the ditch or worse.

Light a cig in my vehicle and you'll be walking to your destination.

As evidence by... Oh wait, never-mind.

I mix my grey goose into my can of red-bull. Fits into the cup holder, doesn't spill, and looks completely stealth.

That made me think of the guy, many years ago, who I saw driving a 1967 Pontiac Bonneville down Geary Boulevard in San Francisco while eating a plate of spaghetti.

I wonder what became of that Pontiac.
