So who told the IRS to target.....?

Well, it turns out that the IRS was told to target some Tea Party groups that were seeking tax exempt status.

I wouldn't mind if some mean tricks lead to Obama's (or any elected official's downfall). I don't necessarily think that Obama is worse than many of his predecessors, but chaos and strife stemming from an impeachment would be amusing to watch. If it drives stocks down due to the fear factor that Wall Street's best fellator may no longer be at the helm, so much the better!!!

I bet the administration is jumping for joy that at least one non-tea party / non conservative group has been identified which recevied some special treatment by the IRS goon squad. I think that group is called ACORN. I guess the scandal is now resolved and all is good. Hmmm, the administration appears to be running out of pixie dust and just in time for the 2014 elections. What will B.O. do if the Congress stays in Republican control and the Senate swings Republican too ? Most state Gov's are already Republicans. Will the stain from the IRS scandal remain or just be overshadowed by all the other scandals and the new ones to surface. News at 11.

The mean tricks in this case could lead to Issa being expelled from the House. In Issa's attempt to make Obama look bad he suckered a lot of Republicans. I have known some Republican lawmakers in the past and not a single one of them enjoyed being made to look like a Fool.

Now I understand why Rance Prebus told him to cool it unless he had some real facts. Besides the ones he made up, that is.

More politicians getting the boot -- sounds fine to me. Granted, seeing a President get the Nixon treatment is always the best as far as schadenfreunde, but I'd settle for a member of the House getting thrown to the dogs. Point being, they're basically all the same. It's a nice feeling to see ANY one of them get treated like the turd he/she is.

ACORN was disbanded three years ago. I know some big time Republicans that said this was the key to their winning in 2012. I told them they were lying to themselves and it turns out they were.

The biggest scandal, the one about Issa asking the IRS to look into Tea Party groups and then being shocked that they did, is still to come.

I doubt that any Conservative out there will hold Issa accountable for his lying to them. If they did Republicans would have to start working for a living and when was the last time any of them did that?

Actually, two things: I knew ACORN was a thing of the past ... although it's probably out there by a different name. And two, both parties are filled with a bunch of bums.

Jane, you ignorant slut: You don't even read what you post.

The Treasury inspector general (IG) whose report helped drive the IRS targeting controversy says it limited its examination to conservative groups because of a request from House Republicans.

A spokesman for Russell George, Treasury’s inspector general for tax administration, said they were asked by House Oversight Chairman Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) “to narrowly focus on Tea Party organizations.”

The inspector general’s audit found that groups seeking tax-exempt status with “Tea Party” and “patriots” in their name did receive extra attention from the IRS, with some facing years of delay and inappropriate questions from the agency.

We will never know where the orders to scrutinize particular groups came from. The bozo's are allowing IRS employees to plead the fifth. Tell you what, if you work for a private company and someone is looking into an issue that involves questioning you, and you tell them you won't answer their questions, let us know how that works out for you.

This is one of MANY indications of the vast corruption in our government. It is DEEP and WIDE and has no party boundaries. It also is CERTAINLY not limited to elected officials.

SO.... try taking the fifth when your boss inquires about some wrong doing around the office and let me know how that works out for you.

If ANY employee, government OR private does not want to answer questions for fear of incriminating themselves, that's fine with me. If they are in fear of incriminating themself, it's also fine with me to fire them.

Why don't you respect the rights that an individual has under the Fifth Amendment?

So you testify and you get fired in what amounts to a political witch hunt and where are you?

Ask Bill Clinton how that worked out when he appointed a special prosecutor for the Whitwater investment.
