I just saw the video of US Representative Tammy Duckworth dressing down a guy named Castillo for scamming $500M with a trumped up sprained ankle in order to claim priority as disabled preference for the business from the government. If we had her as our leader, we wouldn't be putting up with any shlt from people like Putin.

What made her ass kicking extra special, is that she has a REAL disability as a veteran double amputee. What a lady!

Ex-soldier or not, she's still a Democrat. One in favor of gun control and tight-fisted control of military spending, no less.

He'll yes I would vote for a democrat as long as they had leadership skills and character. I am not a party person. More often than not, the democrats don't share my POV on the issues, but in the case of voting for a POTUS, strong leadership skills would trump lots of other decision points.

As a person I like the current Pres. If he had character and leadership skills, I would feel MUCH differently about him.

Good point. I don't know if she would be eligible as POTUS. Her father was a US citizen, but she was born in Thailand. I think she would be eligible, but I don't know the details involved. I think she would be eligible, no?

I watched her tear that guy up. A lot of people could have said what she did, but with her saying it it really made it real.

It was something we need more of. I have nothing against helping out a disabled Vet, and it burns me up to see someone riding on the coattails of disabled Vets when they have done nothing to equal the sacrifice the Vets have made for us.

Just what we need, another politician from the worst run state in the union to go national. If there were so many great political figures there do you think they would be in the state they are in. What they want to do is give the same to the rest of us what they have given to their own. No thank you.

Actually her story is pretty similar to Barak Obama's....up to the part where she went into the military. And now their careers are converging again. She seems destined for higher office.

When Brian Carlton was moderator, he told me that the OP has more responsibility for his/her thread than those who did not start the subject. I think that he is right about this. For this reason, I feel it my responsibility to read all responses in my thread, even those who are on my ignore list.

I'm trying to find the similarities between Tammy Duckworths life up until the military and that of Barack Obama. Let's take a look, shall we?

Tammy Duckworth; raised by her Mother AND HER FATHER through her entire childhood.
Barack Obama; abandoned by his Dad at a young age

Tammy Duckworth; goes to college on an ROTC scholarship
Barack Obama; goes to college with NO responsibility for military service and the source of funds for his college education is still not public information, therefore from an unknown source.

Tammy Duckworth; stayed clean to fulfill her ROTC obligation
Barack Obama; admittedly did marijuana and cocaine ENTHUSIASTICALLY. His words, not mine.

Tammy Duckworth; Master of Arts in International Affairs(Boy could we use those skills in the Whitehouse)
Barack Obama; Education used to be a community organizer and basically groomed for same.

Tammy Duckworth; influenced as a youngster by her Dad, a retired Marine.
Barack Obama; influenced by various communist and socialist radicals(since his Dad wasn't around.)

Tammy Duckworth; Career decision, once commissioned she CHOSE to learn to fly attack helicopters. The reason was that it was one of the few officer specialty's that would allow her to be in direct combat as a woman.
Barack Obama; Career decision, be a community organizer and then start his political career in the living room of an admitted terrorist who had bombed police stations and the like.


Tammy Duckworth, in spite of being a female has proven to have WAY MORE BALLS than Barack Obama could ever dream about. She continues to prove this by taking people to task that defraud the American taxpayer out of a half BILLION dollars, while Barack Obama pisses away that much money on a phoney solar panel company that goes belly up.

I sure would like to see Tammy's response to an American traitor living it up in Moscow. I'll bet she wouldn't simply make flippant remarks like "I'm not going to scramble jets on a hacker." I'll bet she would be doing something about it.

Of course, it is unfair to compare his lack of leadership skills to the leadership skills of Ms. Duckworth. After all she was TAUGHT leadership in college, and successfully displayed it as an officer in combat. Willing to pay the price of both of her legs for your security and mine.

What has Barack Obama given up for the same payback?
