the bicycle junk yard burned down

http://www.paysonroundup.com/news/2013/jun/30/all-bikes-all-gone/

ive been swinging by this place anytime i was on my way to payson and had time to kill ever since i was a kid. guy had alot of cool stuff including one of the "ercle mobiles" old pan head harleys, you name it, it was in there. only issue was they guy thought it was all gold plated.

wow. must have been packed in like sardines

2 acres holding 9000 motorcycles, 18k bikes, and dozens of classic cars including the guys home and possibly his friends trailer.

damn! in that picture you can actually walk down a trail. the pathways have gotten smaller and smaller over the years.

theres minimal pine forest until you get about 3 miles out of payson.

The last time I was there was in 99, it was a fire hazard then. It's all scrub around there, that stuff goes up like tinder too.

Thats the way it looks around Yarnell too-- hard to see how the 19 smoke jumpers met their end in a short scrub area like that.
