This followed me home today...

I really need to stop having things follow me home. I am running out of space!

I could be wrong, but that looks curiously like a Ninja 650.

I don't care what the PO tells you, flush the brake fluid and replace it with fresh stuff, using your favorite brand/rating.

Remember, EVERY driving on the road is always trying to kill you. Also, you will need 2x the stopping distance than in a car. Keep those two in mind and you're fine.

Or desperate perhaps? Would have been in my case.

I suggest you get a full coverage helmet, a set of good leathers and really, really good riding boots with steel toes. Add to that a living will and an advanced directive.

Part of you might survive a seemingly innocent screw up like grabbing the rear brake when you have to stop quickly, or a patch of gravel in a corner, or wet leaves on the roadway, or a stupid dog that runs in front of you. You’ll want to leave instructions on how to deal with the pile of broken bones and escaping blood that your once useful body has been transformed into.

Good luck.

Edit: this was for the OP: To the Sweede, the same suggestion applies, but for different reasons….

Twice the stopping distance? That sounds a bit much. I suspect my Mercedes might be able to outbrake my bike slightly, but I haven't tested to find out. A project for the coming weeks perhaps.
