OH Republican war on women

Ohio Abortion Restrictions: Gov. John Kasich Signs New State Budget Containing Anti-Abortion Measures

I loved this part.
Quote:
And if a woman is able to obtain an abortion in Ohio and develops some sort of medical issue during the procedure, clinics will no longer be allowed to transfer these patients to public hospitals for additional care. In the midst of a crisis, these patients must find a private hospital to help them.
The provision prevents clinics from having transfer agreements with hospitals. Women need to get out and vote.

By these actions and the actions I've seen of R Gov Perry lately are you sure they have not started the "War on Women"?

Again, another reference to involving the government to stop abortions.

If you do not want the government to prevent abortions and prefer a true conservative position where the individual bears responsibility for their own actions, it would be INTELLECTUALLY HONEST to stop the innuendo.

Or, you could also take theE INTELLECTUALLY HONEST Liberal position and admit that you want the government to be involved with legislating against abortion.

Right now, you've been completely INTELLECTUALLY DISHONEST............something you abhor in others.

Hypocrite.

I would expect this sort of thing in Saudi Arabia, not Ohio.

Another war? Zomg!

War on this and war on that. Lessens the effect.

How about some politician did something someone doesn't like so lets make it sound horrible so we can shove an opposing view down everyone's throat using guilt and and panic. I thought that was what Fox was accused of doing?

This doesn't save the fetus; it just endangers the mother. Just your cup-o-tea, right Larry?

I would be a hypocrite if I proposed to allow the murder of unborn humans to be legal while making the murder of humans on earth illegal. Hmm, that is the liberal position. The liberals are the hypocrites. Their hypocrisy goes deeper than that. They are perfectly willing to murder innocent unborn children, but guilty murderers who consciously murdered are not supposed to be executed.

Intellectually dishonest.

There is no law that considers abortion of unborn children to be murder.

That is conveniently invented by you to support your position, the Liberal position, that you want the government to legislate against abortion.

So, stand up like a man and admit it.............

Otherwise YOU are the hypocrite and everyone on the forum knows it.

What's more, he will not advocate any policy that will help prevent the pregnancy in the first place.

That's the thing I don't understand. Are they worried that we're going to run out of people in this country? If anything... strictly numbers... you'd think they would want to provide as much contraception as possible to opposite parties and groups so that their numbers would be less likely to grow over time.

Actually, looking at it from a strictly human geographic standpoint, if anything, the US needs to increase the birthrate in order for the US to maintain its stage three status in the demographic transition model. In simpler terms, the US wants to maintain a birthrate that is close to the death rate so that there is not a disparity in the number of working people vs the number of elderly, retired people like there is in other western countries and Japan (stage four in the model). The main reason we want to maintain a close ratio of births to deaths is that Social Security is only viable under its current format. The taxes of one working person cannot support the Social Security benefits of two or more elderly people if they receive their full benefits.

While Larry's stance, which to me, also, is personally ABHORRENT, and is *part* of the ultra-conservative party line, he has nonetheless stated time and time again on here, that his political stance is NOT doctrinaire "Conservative" but rather an amalgam of various views that constitute his personal political stance.

Your blanket condemnation and vilification of him - cloaked in your personal brand of vitriol - (while not surprising, based on your posting history here) -- ought not to go unremarked.

Brian clearly means ideological not partisan political. You've missed the point.
