Possibly the worst case ever of survivor's guilt
Poor guy was the lookout when the rest of his team died in the Yarnell fire.
I can't imagine what he must be feeling. Survivor served as lookout on deadly Ariz. fire |

I don't doubt that he did everything he was supposed to do, how he was supposed to do it, and as quickly as it could possibly be done. I also don't doubt that he feels really bad right now. I'm pretty sure I would.

This is the kind of guilt that has been carried by quite a few soldiers over the years. Even when they have done nothing wrong, one or more of their buddies gets it, and they carry the guilt the rest of their lives because they keep thinking about what they might have done differently.
Very sad situation. I wish him and the families of the firefighters all the best hopes and prayers.
