New Member Introduction

Howdy! My name is Mike, and I'm new to peach parts. I'm a regular over on the sister site, Pelican Parts.

Anyway, I just wanted to get my feet wet over here. I'm on the search for a decent driver diesel. I've had several heckflosses, but wanted to switch to a w124 or newer body style.

no stranger to oddball cars....ive had a slew of European cars. Triumphs, MG's, Alfas, Porsches, etc.

I'm sure I'll be asking lots of tech questions!

Mike

Welcome Mike!! There is a cars for sale area here, (http://www.peachparts.com/shopforum/mercedes-cars-sale/) good place to find a well cared for example of these fine autos, if not the best place to find a steal....
Most of us know what these things are worth, and seldom let one go for anything less, although it has happened.
There is also a sticky craigslist thread which could be helpful.

If you are really committed to a diesel daily driver, then you will want to be visiting the diesel discussion (http://www.peachparts.com/shopforum/diesel-discussion/) area of this forum.
Regardless of what sort of MB diesel you end up with, there are folks there who know just about everything imaginable....

The diesel section here is probably the most concentrated source of helpful and knowledgable folks around,

Welcome!

Yow. I'll help you out by staying out of your threads, since all I know about the W24 diesel is that I believe that it doesn't have an OM617.

All right, so I know that it came with the OM60X family .
