anyone used this cab company? all old mercedes

friend of mine was out in provincetown on cape cod this weekend and said he had a cab ride in a twin to my 115 240. :D

pretty neat that these guys are running a bunch of classic benz cabs out on the cape and surrounding areas for as long as they have. website says they started in 1983, wonder if some of these cars have been cabs since new in their fleet? rare to see this in the US

Tough cars. Makes sense. Someone needs to invite him to the forum. I bet he is a wealth of information on MBs.

according to some cab companies in EU, they claim MB are the best for this duty, Tough and long life.

But I also think a good selection of independant workshops also dictate their decision.

I was in Casablanca, Morocco about 10 years ago and every taxi there was a 240D. Mind you, most of them had engines that would be condemned anywhere else due to the huge clouds of blue smoke every time one set off from a traffic light. There was a haze of blue smog that hung from about neck height upwards. I had to leave after a day and ahalf, since I couldn't stand the lousy air.

They were probably running them on whatever flammable chemical they could get their hands on like around gaza city.

Yes i've seen these cars a time or two in person. I was a pleasant surprise when I saw what they were being used for :)
