Are you in prison? Do you want to turn a Guard to your side and work him like a rented mule? Well, then.... Step right up and pull the old 'I am a Political Prisoner' routine on them!
This is a well known scam in any and all prison systems. Claim you were sent up for your political thoughts and actions and that you have a great case for suing everyone involved with your case. But you need money to move the case forward, and if you could just get out for a few months... Of course, you will be happy to split what you receive in the settlement with anyone who helps you. Hey... It's a sure thing!
The only problem is that every officer of the court is immune from any lawsuit, and if you go to work in a prison this is one of the first such scams you are warned about.
Some states have laws that require a person to be compensated if they spend time in jail and are then found to be innocent, and those states that don't are open to lawsuits on a state, but not an individual, level.
Arkansas has a novel approach to compensating innocent prisoners: After they are released they are offered a deal for money if they plead guilty to the crime. The real criminal is still out there, but that's not what's important. What's important is that Arkansas can claim they never sent an innocent person to the slammer.
Anyway... Good luck with that lawsuit, Mr. Z!
