Headed to Europe next week- what should i get?

Going on vacation next week. I thought it would be cool to buy something automotive related over there that I can't get here. Any ideas as to what to get and where to go to get it?

I will definitely get a frame for my front euro license plate. It is just screwed on right now. I assume I could get that at "EuroPepboys" or whatever it is they have there.

I might bring back a container of some brand of motor oil that they don't sell here. I use it as decoration in my office.

what else? any other tips?

If you get over to the Netherlands bring us back a "Stretch". The poor boy's getting frustrated and needs some comic relief. I figure I'll show him what I consider my rust "problems" and he'll laugh for a week.

I have a spare euro black plastic license plate frame I'll be glad to send you. (no charge). It has no slogans. Let me know if you'd like it.

I'd go to any Auto Parts store in Germany, and pick up a few packages of the colored florescent "breakdown" warning vests to wear, they are required equipment in German cars now - cool and practical. In fact if you grab some, I'd like to buy a couple from you... I think they only cost $5 or $10 in euro equivalent.

I was in Germany driving, on vacation, just a year ago, is how I know this.

Bon voyage!

I'm not sure I understand. Are you asking him to bring back some seeds or go sowing his seed?

Errr, I don't think Ben is considering DRIVING back. I mean, I know the G-wagons are supposed to be multi-terrain but....

Not auto related but.........

My family brought back two signs from London last Summer that still draw a chuckle. Nothing to do with Benzes, but sign #1 is the great Churchill saying "Keep calm and carry on" and sign #2 is from the numerous tube rides (subway to we Yanks) that said "Mind the gap"........in reference to the space between the train and the platform. Have a good trip. P.S. How about bringing back a pick of some Euro Benzes for the forum.

I contacted Miguel. He said he does not know anyone in Madrid who can act as a guide. I think his family lives somewhere else.

I'll take plenty of pictures of cool cars I see there. We are renting a minivan with a manual transmission. Should be fun.
