greetings from madrid - and some observations

first of all, i can't sleep so i write this while on the pot (not too successful in that regard either- 4 days here with nary a good bm).

i thought i would share some thoughts....
1. all the women here are hot. i have yet to see a fugly one.
2. there are no obese people here which is probably due to an absence of golden corralls
3. practically no hondas here. some toyota but not much more. i did see a civic diesel yesterday
4. contrary to advice i got, people here DO wear shorts
5. people here do not wear white clothes and shoes
6. the hookers on the street are not spanish. they sound eastern european
7. there are NO pepboys here
8. i have not seen a car repair shop or even a car dealership at all. maybe when we start driving around in the rental we pick up tomorrow
9. bread and beer are cheap here but eating out in a formal restaurant is not
10. you have to pay to get in to museums
11. people here stay up late
12. i paid 7 euro for a undercooked and inedible hamburger. i think they like their meat rare here
13. not much car traffic here
14. watching the african vendors pack up and go when the police come is funny
15. hot women are all over this place

Be sure to visit the Prado if you like fine art. If you go to Barcelona (I recommend it) be sure to check out Antonio Gaudi's Architecture. (perhaps my all time favorite Architect).
Are there any hot Ladies there?
(just kidding).

1. My neck did hurt for a week, looking at all the women the first time I was in Madrid. They like to flirt as well.
2. Not that I can remember.
3. Did see the first Dodge Viper in Madrid.
4. Spaniards do wear shorts, but with a flair.
5. They do more in the south, but mostly black.
6. When I was there they were all from Brazil and Africa.
7. nop
8. Most are in the out skirts of Madrid.
9. When I didn't wanted the dessert that was included in the menu, they gave us a second bottle of red wine for free.
10. Yep, but it's worth it. Del Prado is amazing and spent days in Balboa park.
11. Very late and are up early.
12. Don't eat American food in Spain. But you can order a beer at McDonalds.
13. Because it's August, everyone left Madrid.
14. Nothing has changed
15. And they are nice and like to flirt. Be careful for the gypsies.

To bad Real Madrid is playing in Los Angles this weekend, it’s quite a spectacle going to Santiago Bernabéu Stadium and see them play. And if you have time go to Plaza Las Ventas and catch a bull fight, it's pretty damn amazing.
Café Cortado in the morning and a Café Carajillo after dinner.

I'm jealous, miss Spain.

Toledo is cool! A small mountainous village with narrow winding streets, IIRC. Traditional home of armor makers and or sword makers.

Reminds me of the theme casinos in Las Vegas . . . or Epcot.

Interesting observations.... When I was in Paris for the first time in 1989, there were remarkably few fat people and the women were drop dead gorgeous. I suppose Europeans are heavier because American garbage food has invaded...

Takes some pics of the Spanish babes!!

I didn't go back to Europe for seven years after moving to the States. I was shocked by what I saw when I went back the first time. You would never see a young girl with a gut, now they are every where.
