Odd Vibe Around Here

Is it me, or have the last couple of mornings around here seemed...pleasant, peaceful?

Oh, yeah? Well, you can take your civility and put it where the sun don't shine.

Baiting the baiter(s)? Why not give it a rest or is it truly a man-crush thing?

I know, I thought about that when I posted, but I am enjoying the more relaxed tone on here today. Perhaps my post won't be considered as bait, but just as a positive suggestion to see and sustain the benefit of a kinder, gentler forum. I'm going to try to be a good boy for awhile, to see if I can walk the walk. Wish me luck!

I first thought you meant this:

Something for me to reflect on, the notion that the stuff we most readily accuse others of is that which we are guilty of ourselves but can't quite face up to it.

When I was a kid in New Mexico, my buddy and I were driving home from the bowling alley, fresh with our 15 year old drivers licenses (it you took driver's ed you could get licensed at that age - 13 for motorcycles under 5 hp), we turned onto the main drag, a 4 line divided roadway and soon we spied a pickup heading north in the southbound lane, approx. next to us. We were hooting and jeering "Hey, you're in the wrong lane, PAL!" honking the horn, just having a field day. At some point the highway makes an elongated S curve to the left a bit, straightens right back out. We followed the road but the drunk kept straight ahead, bounding over the median, and smashing into the front left area of the station wagon. We jumped out and ran back the truck, intent on telling him just how badly he had fokked up. The guy was way drunk, asked me if I was a police officer.

The car was totaled, his dad was pissed, oh but hey, we sure told that guy off.

Nothing. P.C. had just gone out and bought an industrial sized bag of pop corn to enjoy the postings of a couple of lively threads and they closed down. Now he expects us to revive them so he can enjoy his snacking.

Hmmm, "P.C." and "pop corn", coincidence? I think not.

Let sleeping dogs lie.
