Desmond Tutu: "I'd rather go to hell than worship a homophobic God."
Every day it seems I read of another powerful person coming to the realization that being gay is OK. I know there is a long way to go before people are legally allowed to lead their lives as they see fit but when someone like Tutu come out in favor of it, it makes me thing it's a little bit closer to reality.

Not a matter of credibility. He has a large audience. His words are listened to by more people than you or I. In that regard he has much more influence and his words carry much more weight. When powerful people speak, people have a tendency to listen
