You think they did something about the pesky wind noise? And what kind of tires do you put on a car which will do 200+ mph?

As a side note...

KLEEMANN phoned Benzmac from Europe the night before this speed run and asked for his help to resolve a problem with the car. We were pleased to assist and happy to see the record broken.

Speed Record

The E55K used a 400CDI rear for the speed record. The ratio is 2.47:1. The EGS controller in the car didnt like the square wave signals it was getting from the ECU based on the fact that the car was built with a 2.87:1. After a quick conf. call between Donnie, myself and Denmark we all agreed that amending the version coding MIGHT be a solution. The problem was time and resources- not enough of either. As it truns out the version coding is not possible as the engine/trans/diff combo does not exist in a real world vehicle. The rear will not stay in the car so a long term fix is not required.

A big thank you to Donnie for trying to help out in a pinch!
