Um, I think I left the missing $ 640,000 in my other pants!

The Feds indicted former Detroit Kwame Kilpatrick for paying himself $64,000/ a year for ten years from a slush fund he created, then failing to report it on his income tax.

So that makes:

10 Federal counts of violating Federal election laws

10 Federal counts of income tax evasion

10 state counts of income tax evasion

5 city counts of income tax evasion

10 counts of wire/mail fraud

----------------------------

He will be arraigned on July 13 in FEDERAL court.

No local influence can help him.

So....should we start a Peach Parts Legal Defense fund?

Here's a thought...and a hope for you MI folks.

Maybe the Kiwame's procesutor can be elected your next Governor!

Happened here in NJ.. Chris Christie prosecuted and convicted a number of govt. officials. This one Sharpe () James, was Mayor of Newark, NJ's largest city.

James went to da house! Christie went to the Mansion, where he is now waging war on the NJEA teachers union

"The Kwame Amendment"

It is law now...

Michigan Felon Politician Ban Amendment, Proposal 2: This Michigan initiative proposes that anyone holding an elected or government position be banned from office for 20 years for convictions resulting from breaches of the public trust.

Proposal 2 is also known as "The Kwame Amendment" after ex-Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick. In June, Kilpatrick was indicted on 19 counts of mail fraud and tax evasion. The goal is to prevent politicians like Kilpatrick from making a "political comeback" after being removed from office.
