From an evolutionary perspective, it's pretty interesting that women are willing to do this. (if they are doing it freely). Presumably there are non-jihadists in Tunisia looking for sexual partners which the Tunisian women are spurning for the jihadists in Syria. Why so? Men and women have denied themselves for religion since the begining of superstition. This is simply helping the sad faith. We struggle for a college degree because we think it will make us better in some way, shape or form. Why is this different?

I see religion as an outgrowth of tribal group identity. So I take this behavior to be one of strengthening the group by having fertile women breed with the strongest warrior types. I don't think it's about superstition or bad faith, it's about improving the tribe. Hence my question about the suicidal martyrs. Warriors obviously have the will to power. I suppose from a eugenics standpoint it could make some sense where women mate with the perceived stronger male to improve the tribe much like Adolf was trying to breed more Aryans and destroy the culture destroying Jew. Not sure about that. It is one thing to ask me to fight in a war where we MIGHT be killed as opposed to hitting the detonator where we WILL die. Or maybe giving the men something to look forward to? "Hey, if you take the village, you get to nail all the women you can grab.", all sanctioned by the faith which you could not do otherwise. Could be like the Flying Tigers getting a kickback for each Japanese plane shot down. For a soldier that doesn't get laid often, it might be an incentive. As side benefit would be that a new piece of "cannon fodder" is born.

Does that come into play at all? I mean, to the men, it is a piece of ass. To the women, they are doing a service to the deity because they were told it was a service much like a suicide bomber told that he will have 72 virgins if he kills himself. I would suspect it isn't so much of the woman saying "I like to bang those hot men." as opposed to "I am doing a service to my deity by breeding more cannon fodder.".
