My Mrs is diabetic now so she can get pretty gumpy around meal time too so sometimes it gets a little dodgy around here!
hypoglycemia and diabetes. It's true then what they say about opposites attract. Sorta like Jack Sprat could eat no fat.....

I still drink all the beer I want and am having great results.
My maternal grandfather was a borderline Type II diabetic for many years. After his forties, he wasn't much of a drinker, but he ate pasta and bananas daily. You could say he was bananas for bananas (to the extent that we buried him with a Chiquita sticker hidden on his pocket square), and made it to 79 before he kicked off from a massive heart attack. Whatever works.

I've seen a diabetic get too low on blood sugar. It happened on a construction project I was working a couple years ago, and it wasn't pretty. One of the two guys in charge was really busy and neglected to eat lunch. By late afternoon he was pretty loopy. Luckily the other guy in charge had known him for years and was able to get him to calm down long enough to get some sugar in him. In under a half hour, he was fine.

Blood sugar issues are serious. Get that stuff figured out.
