Bizarre story -- some lady tried to ram her car through a security gate at the White House, was chased by police and Secret Service to the Capitol, where she was shot by police. She also supposedly had a baby in the car. Not clear whether she was armed or if the cops did all the shooting.

This sucks. The woman is alive. Good thing the govt is in shutdown and the officers might not be paid. They don't deserve to be paid if they cannot cost us more money by having her alive.

I hate to second guess law enforcement in a hot situation like that but would like to see all the film on it.

Why should cops be somehow immune from criticism? If they shoot at someone and they had alternatives, time to either fire them or lock them up, possibly both.

The police in DC tend to have itchy trigger fingers, and *as I heard rumor* she tried to "run one of them down" with the car so they opened fire.

EDIT: Maybe it was one of those new fangled cars with an electronic throttle and it decided to take off on it's own?

CNN reports than she thought she was under electronic survailance y the government. MK ULTRA again. I wonder if their programing is failing or are they just being called out?

That someone also had alternatives. Make a move like that and it threatens not only LEO but somebody else. Neutralize the threat. WGAS about this one?

Reports are the there were multiple guns shots and that she was unarmed.

If nothing else it shows how ill-prepared, or inept, the DC police and Secret Service are when it comes to dealing with threats. Imagine if the driver was hell-bent on causing serious harm and mass casualties. Our politicians are "lucky" it was only an unarmed mother with a baby in the car. Thankfully the baby survived.
