Does anyone still use Yahoo mail and web client?

I use the mail client and woke up to an updated screen. I use in-line responses quite a bit and that option requires more clicks now. I also prefer the preview screen below rather than to the right. I haven't found if it's possible to customize the screen.

I use neither Yahoo, nor Google, nor Microsoft for my primary mail. F**K all of those privacy thieves.

Sadly, I do still use Yahoo. I fought moving to the updated version as long as possible, but I am dealing with the same growing pains as you.

On my email list, to the upper right, above the date column, is a button labeled "View." Under this is a pull down menu where you can choose where to have the preview pane (below or right are the options).

I am not sure what "in-line responses" are, so I cannot help you there. Good luck.

Someday you'll be old, too

I found how to change settings so most is right with the world. What I don't see is header level indicators that I've replied to the message. Outlook has it and the previous incarnation of the Yahoo mail client had it.

With the old incarnation, when I hit reply, it defaulted to simple text mode with a caret to the left of each line of the original message. It was a simple matter add blank lines and my reply to each line. To do the same now, I have to add carets or whatever indication of original text. It's as annoying as not getting hot air out of the center vents of '80s MBs but at least that's just a matter of rerouting vacuum lines.

Sixto-
Have you tried this... from the entry page, click on the little gear (?) in the upper right corner. From the drop down list, pick Settings. Within Settings, pick "Viewing Email" and then all the way at the bottom, I can pick the "Basic" Mail Version. This makes everything a lot more like it used to be. Emails which I have replied to will now have a little symbol indicating that I have replied to them.

I tired to figure out how to get those carets back that you mentioned, but I had no luck.

Thanks. I found the new format irritating also. Now I'm back to something more familiar.

Thanks! That's a lot better but I don't see a preview pane option

Argh! It doesn't let you switch between a draft message and other views! Checking something in the inbox deletes the draft where it used to automatically save. Why can't basic be less basic?

Sigh, back to feature mode. But now URLs aren't clickable. The worst part is I sound like my wife

I don't use it directly but AT&T U-verse piggybacks it for their email. My att email didn't change this time but it looks like they're the same changes I saw a couple months ago. My wife has an @yahoo.com and has been b!tching about it.
