I was listening to this Saturday night trying out the sound system on a new Formula. Sounds pretty good.

Intersting. I'm all about alternative country. I follow lots of under the radar artists (e.g. Robert Earl Keen, Hayes Carll, James McMurtry, Fred Eaglesmith, Sons Of Bill, Todd Snider) and like this kid's unusual take on the genre. But I'm wondering if it will grow old on me quickly.

I like the Brad Paisleys, Shania Twain, Gretchen Wilsons, JoDee Messina (My Give a Damn's Busted especially) and that sort. This one sounds more like rap to me trying to infiltrate the newer generation of country. Not a fan.

If the vocals were dropped and only instrumental it might be close to modern country music.

I would be one out of three of those, but if I knew of one that was a three for three I doubt that I would share as they are fewer and far between these days.
