I parked near the fenced in garden products section of a big box store. As I was walking towards the store, I see two electric tool cases come flying over the top of the fence and land in the parking lot. I thought, "This is interesting, I should watch." So, I went back to my car and got inside. A few minutes later a guy walks out of the store, comes around the fenced in area, looks all around, picks up the tools and starts walking away. Two guys then come around the corner from the store and start chasing him. They tackled him and pinned him to the ground. Good work.

This lady needs an "Avenger."

Someone who can find the little perp, gut him like a deer, then walk away, like a shadow in the night.

THEN, the "Avenger" needs to go to the store, finds the mealy-spined twink that fired her, and cut both of his/her Achilles tendons. That lets the twink know that at least, for a while, there was someone who USED to work for them that got off their dead @55 and cared about the other honest customers within the store and THEIR WALLETS.

F*** insurance companies and the spine-less lawyers that defend the worthless punks the insurance companies are afraid of. Maybe they need a midnight visit from the "Avenger." It might clear up some ethics-conundrums that seem to be festering in the hallowed halls of learning...

You better thank your dogs I NEVER become a judge.

The arguments would stop at the point where the thief got near the door. If someone picked up a shovel or hatchet and hacked away at the pube...and somehow he survived, I'd say, "Tough 5hit, bro! If it wasn't yours, you got the extra-special-treatment for free. And since this is a case of which came first, the chicken or the egg, I believe the "thiefing" came before the capture/punishment. Case dismissed...with prejudice."

It sure beats running around with a chopped-off hand/appendage-or-three and a scarlet letter tattooed on your forehead...

Hallelujah! Holy 5hit! Where's the Tylenol?

I will never darken the doors of a Lowes ever again. She deserves a promotion.

I think that Bot might be right or Lowes is just going along with the continuing slide of America into the sewer. Either way, Lowes can kiss my azz.

You and me both. If I were a judge they would change my name to Parker within about a week.

I think what we are talking about here is the end of employee loyalty. She was trying to look after the company store and protect Lowe's interests. Her reward for doing so was getting fired. 100 years ago, she would have been given a raise and a promotion.........

I totally agree with this if you substitute 25 for 100. I am old enough that I have witnessed the phenomenon that you describe very closely.

I do believe that in most cases it is a two way street though. Most companies have much less loyalty for their employees and most employees have much less loyalty for their employers. Just my opinion.

How bout a couple of days ago? Kerry's young enough that he witnessed it recently. So much for your slide into the sewer.

I'm a little unclear here. Are you saying that some people deserve a defense and others don't? I thought you are ENTITLED to a defense? Whether we like them or not, we have to either agree they are entitled to a lawyer or nobody can be sure to get one.

“Our policies are in place for the safety of our workers,” the company said. “We have very specific guidelines when it comes to handling potential shoplifters, to ensure the well-being of not only our team but our customers.”
Regardless of what she was trying to do, it seems she violated the rules according to Lowes. If there were specific guidelines and she violated them, whatever her reasons don't matter.

Big retailers like this chew employees up and spit them out, they are totally disposable balance sheet expenses.
