Last nights MB adventure

Kinda long story but last night I tried to loan my dad (84) the car to use. I sent him out the "back" way from the house because I had already locked the gate. It was dark and he can't 1/2 see at night in addition to being the first time he has ever driven a Mercedes. I called mom about 20 minutes after he left the house (they live about a mile away) and he was not home so I went looking for him. Seems that he missed the turn to the back way out and wound up getting on one of the trails that is only passable using four wheelers. As you can see it did not work out very well. Thankfully he was fine and the car was not damaged. I returned this afternoon with the tractor and pulled it out. You can't tell by the picture but the rut that the drivers side front tire is in is pretty deep which caused the car to bottom out.

Glad all is well. Enjoy your dad while you still have him around. Not a day goes by that I don't think about my late Father.

when I was a teenager, my dad was for ever pulling me out of boggy spots with the tractor. Never happened the other way around for me!

Almost sounds like something I might do -- although I'd never have the guts to ask for help .
