My Farewell Thread was Removed

My farewell thread was removed before anyone had a chance to read my farewell.

To be expected I suppose.

Maybee Just take a little break Larry...a short vacation or something. Forget about this place for awhile.

And yet Larry tries to proclaim he's not a SPV?

Perhaps they removed it because it was inaccurate?

Honus 10-17-2013 09:19 AM

Or maybe they removed it because they wanted to remove it. Larry, where do you get this notion that these people have a duty to provide and moderate a forum for you for free?

That said, it is disappointing that the false thread title about Warren Buffet was allowed to remain.

P.C. 10-17-2013 09:37 AM

Larry's leaving again?

Without being critical, I'd appreciate an explanation about that too. Doesn't make sense.

I'm curious though Larry. Presumably a "farewell" thread is one wherein you're saying "so long, I'm out of here, and here's why". Then you'd go, right? How would you even know your thread was gone if you'd actually left?
Seems like otherwise it'd just be another attention getting device.

I sense a revival of Pastor Joe in the not too distant future.

If history is a predictor of the future . . .

Perhaps Peachparts has become the Hotel California...?

engatwork 10-17-2013 10:22 AM

Wtf is calipe dust?

P.C. 10-17-2013 10:35 AM

All kidding aside, should we be holding some type of memorial service for Larry? Before he degenerated into his current state, he did provide some level of positive contribution to this website. Maybe we can chip in and get him a Peachparts gift card. Or something.

Lar...dude, take a step back, take a breath, focus on what's really important. Rinse and repeat.

It is possible to have personal convictions and keep them, well, personal. Politically I probably disagree with half the folks here half the time from both sides of the aisle. I have lots of friends IRL that disagree with me. Since we're not interested in debating; I know where they stand, they know where I stand; we rarely discuss politics. We hang out, drink beer, talk sports (and argue!), talk kids, talk work, talk food, talk cars, smoke cigars.

Lots of folks enjoy the sport of debating. Personally I don't have the attention span and know that political threads aren't good for my mental health so I generally avoid them. But I also don't take it personally when someone disagrees on the rare occasion that I do make a post on a political subject.

Don't throw rocks and then complain when rocks are thrown back. You make it way too easy.

P.S.-If you don't come back, best of luck to your wife!
