Chancellor of Germany calls the president of the USA

This is according to the Wall Street Journal, Angela Merkel phoned president Obama and told him directly that the monitoring of her phone is completely unacceptable. That phone call was in response to Germany's intelligence catching the bugging of her personal phone by this administration. There are two things that stand out to me about this, first unlike B.O. she has the nads to call, and not send a stern EMAIL. This is a great way to treat our allies, I thought he wants to be more loved abroad, or is that only by our enemies and not GAS about our allies.

Not only do they have the right to read your emails, listen in on your conversations and monitor ALL of your financial transactions, health care records, etc etc, but they also feel they have the right to eavesdrop on any other country's leader, governing body, at any and all times.

You see, you "might" be doing something wrong and therefore "we" want to know ALL about it, sooner than later.

Your business is now our business, get it????

One thing I've noticed over the years is regardless of who's president, sooner or later they all get caught doing things reminiscent of the Nixon era.

Who gets caught and what they get doing are a whole 'nuther story. I think today's technology makes it harder to sweep thinks under the rug.

Giving Obama the benefit of the doubt here, I would wonder if he directly ordered this or if one of his underlings went renegade?

Bush can breath easy on this one, it's Nixon's fault.

Nothing new to see here -- we've been playing that game for the past 75 years at least. We got caught. Germany will likely expel a few US operatives after roughing them up and making them stew in a detention cell for a while -- and good riddance.

There is no telling who is behind it. "They" learned hard lessons from Nixon and therefore carefully cover their tracks. "They" have contracts with discreet document and computer file shredding services so they never have to worry about ending up in Nixon's position. Life is good, real good.

Unless they're doing the shredding themselves, someone else is always involved, who may either grow a conscience or be PAID to grow a set of gonads.

Yeah but I understood that was all going to end so everyone would love us. I cannot recall the exact words, but didn't he go on a european tour to read some speeches, and say we have been doing it all wrong and things will change.

Hell will freeze over before that happens. Everyone and everything is for sale, you just have to find out what price you have to pay for their silence. Here's a million bux, now STFU.

You're all talking as if there has been actual confirmation that this happened. There hasn't.

I thought about that months ago, and came up to the conclusion that he was just to stupid, and took twenty five minutes of fame over the money.

That the call from the chancellor happened, or the phone monitoring? It was not on MSNBC so it did not happen.
