Louisiana Dem - Keep Your Existing Coverage
She wants to propose a bill to allow citizens to keep existing health coverage. Stories on this at other sites as well.
Landrieu to propose saving vanishing health plans - Manu Raju - POLITICO.com |
This is what happens when a senate candidate is running scared for re-election. Landrieu is a "moderate" Democrat. She mostly votes the party line but on the hidden negotiates tries to moderate the wacko excesses of her party.
I'm guessing her chances for re-election are about even. Louisiana has a long history of a sort of populist conservatism, whether the elections are for Democrats or Republicans. I voted her into office and I hope to vote her out next year, regardless of what clowns run against her -- I don't care. I'll vote for the least obnoxious candidate who is not a Repo. |
Yeah, another ACA thread!!:beerchug:

The insurance companies currently can damn well cancel anyone they please, as they have always done. This woman is a moron if she thinks that she can just pass some bill that will transcend the boundaries put in place by the ACA, and force private companies to provide a service that they may choose not to. Please don't vote for imbeciles like this. |

As mentioned, she's running scared....reelection time soon. 2 days ago she tried to massage Obama's statement about "being able to keep your insurance if you like it". She added if it's "good insurance"...that's what the president meant. The president meant what he said and he did NOT say "good insurance". |
Landrieu's proposal is so idiotic (it sounds unconstitutional to me) and transparent, I can't imagine that it will work with the voters.
|
Your imagining of the voters' genius is overly optimistic.

It's true. I keep making that mistake.
