Florida city reverses gun ban on neighborhood watch volunteers
Fla. city reverses gun ban on neighborhood watch volunteers
quote from the link: "Neighborhood watch programs, formally organized in 1972 under the National Sheriffs' Association, began in reaction to the notorious 1964 murder of Catherine Susan "Kitty" Genovese. Her cries for help during an attack outside her Queens apartment reportedly were ignored by neighbors, one of whom was famously quoted as saying she did not want to get involved." |

I read the link a couple of times and based on the title of the article, am not sure if the ban is actually being reversed.
Not trying to stir up a yay gun/boo gun argument, I'm just not sure where things stand on this issue in that community. Google may offer more clarity.

Yeah, it read to me, that a ban was being considered, but now isn't. Not much of a story. Or article, for that matter.
