Can You Handle The Truth About Your Beloved McRib?: Gothamist

The bun alone makes up 34 of the 70 ingredients in a McRib.

I'm not following. You already know what is there if you care to know so what's the point? Calling it something nice sounding is the way of the world. I mean, do you have a car called "car X"? They try to make it sound good and exciting.

Make up your mind what you want to buy. If you pay for Prime Filet Mignon and get pink slime, fair enough. If you paid pink slime prices, don't expect Kobe Beef. It is that simple. When I pay $10 for a meal, I know what quality I can expect. I expect much more, relatively when I pay $50. But I don't expect $50 worth of food and pay $10. I know what to expect when I pay $1 for a McChicken vs $10 for a chicken sandwich vs $20, etc, etc.

I have no conflict about my choice. I will not buy the McCrap....under any circumstance.

I hate turkey. I eat it it because I want to be polite at thanksgiving. I'd rather have ham.

Not keen on them either.
Actually....in 08 I was not hip to any Sky Daddy. I just kept having a recurring dream about the scene in Pulp Fiction where Sam Jackson scolded Travolta about eating bacon.
So I went with it...never ate swine again.

The point is that you are expecting a $3 sandwich to perform like a $30 filet mignon and it is unreasonable.

Wanna bet? Starve you enough and you will be begging for restaurant scraps in the dumpster. Right now you can be the snob you want to be but in a different circumstance, I would love to see you pass. Right now I don't eat fish by choice. I know that under the right circumstance, I will eat fish.

Never saw the show, at least not to the end. After 10 minutes, I found myself going to sweep the basement. It was that or be bored to tears.

While I'm not a fan, it wasn't nearly as shocking/horrifying as I was expecting it to be. Probably about what I expected.

If you look at a lot of food raw, you probably couldn't eat anything. Try going to a Chinese apothecary and see some of the medicine they give. Heads of cockroach comes to mind.

I don't expect that. It is presented as a cheap alternative to BBQ ribs.

It's not even that!

I dunno, when traveling I'll sometimes go for Mickey D's bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit and their reasonable facsimile of coffee. It's the only thing I eat there.

I would say it is what wiki calls a restructured pork patty. For the price I pay, I know I cannot get real ribs.
