What the heck...
Woke up this morning to see a feud in a social media newsfeed.
No, I'm not talking about the well-publicized spat between two of Dick Cheney's daughters on Facebook, but rather the adult son of a friend of mine whose wife apparently left him for one of his friends. Her relatives are coming back at him, his relatives are defending him and attacking her relatives, and the profanity, invectives, veiled threats and details are flying. A guy who seems to be her brother keeps posting his phone number and challenging his detractors to call. (Apparently he's not really defending his sister as he's referred to both her and her newly-estranged husband as pieces of [excrement].) The amount of dirty laundry people are willing to air in a fairly public arena is simply astonishing to me. |

Personally, I don't find it anything close to "astonishing". In fact, I cannot even say I'm the slightest bit surprised about it. |

I say we should go back to the old ways. No namby-pamby Facebook fights when we could start a reality show called the "Hatfields and McCoys: 2013 edition", sponsored by Ruger, Mossberg, and Smith&Wesson, of course.
