Dad arrested for walking his daughter home after school.

Funny to see the horrible shape both man are who don't allow the dad to walk his kid home. Black and white policies are horrible.

Cumberland County Tennessee Student Resource officer overreacts. - YouTube

Wow.

That officer is nuts. He keeps talking about "school property" as though it's a prison or something. It's still public property, paid for by tax dollars.

And what an asinine rule. You can't walk to the school and pick up your child, but they can walk away from the school alone, to meet you (or a predator) at any point.

The only thing missing are the jackboots.

And a functioning brain.

Petty little mustachioed white-trash wannabe Hitler. Hope a school bus hits him one fine morning and saves the taxpayers his pension.

What BS. The officer needs to hand in his badge. Im still trying to figure out what the charges were. Id also like to know why the officer wasnt arrested for assault on a minor for whacking the camera at the end.

"Mopery" in the first degree.

If I come to pick up my child, you better give me my child. Wait an hour after school is out for some pick up queue system even though I'm right there? F-that.

Yeah, I would not be handling it as well as he did. I'm fuming just watching it.

jt20 11-19-2013 09:49 PM

They have installed a system aimed at protecting children - imagine for a second this is all for a good cause.

Perhaps the queue system is rotational? etc...

This 'gentle'man wants to cut the line by walking in the front door while everyone else must wait their turn due to a lack of funding (ie.. quantity of staff to disperse children from school in a controlled and responsible manner). It is their responsibility to keep track of children as they come and go.

So sign the fkn form D.B. and let your child walk down the road to meet you.

Its highly likely that the cop knows this man to some degree and its clear in the video that he is simply standing his ground in a power struggle - both are equally combative and dismissive.

I vote for the cop (even though there are no grounds for arrest) - I think the video is out of context and we don't know the story. The filming began too late and these people came prepared to film this event after numerous previous attempts.

Yeah, the rule sucks... but it sucks for everyone.

spdrun 11-19-2013 09:54 PM

Why would you support a mildly aggressive mall cop ... I mean school cop .... who arrested someone without "grounds?" Screw him.

The pig sure looks like he ate waaaaaaay too many eeeclairs !!!

spdrun 11-19-2013 10:03 PM

Daddy ain't exactly a skinny puppy either.

jt20 11-19-2013 10:04 PM

Because of the behavior of the father. - he was there to enforce his will. This had less to do about his rights and law than him 'winning'. (see: calling the Sheriff and hands in porkers face - aggression)

The porker was provoked and probably had a history of provocation by this man. The porker did not handle it well - but he was doing his job and that was to guard the laws set in place to protect the children.

jt20 11-19-2013 10:05 PM

ok.. so everyone decides to walk to school one day to pick up their children..... who waits?

spdrun 11-19-2013 10:08 PM

The whole thing is weird to me, since the town where I grew up had no busing, thus walking to school was more-or-less mandatory. Some parents picked their kids up, but generally met them in front of the schools or on a side street since few of the buildings had parking space.

Never heard of a school releasing children one at a time. Has anyone else?
