how to find a book knowing nothing about it
My sister reminded me of a book my parents had. It was a movie guide published in the late '60s or early '70s, black and white print with scene pictures, landscape, paperback, with 3 or 4 reviews per page. It had reviews on The Forbidden Planet and The Reluctant Astronaut. How can I find what books meet that criteria?

Find a site real movie nuts frequent. They probably would know of it.

Go to alibris.com and start looking at used movie review books?

I use abebooks.com to determine value of books I find. They have a pretty active community forum. You might find help there.

This is going to sound patronizing, but isn't intended that way. I would suggest you try a library. Or more specifically, talk to a librarian. They are an incredible resource of information and may be able to lead you in the right direction. Perhaps they even have the book available for checkout.
