Why would a moderator have to read the thread? Surely not all threads are read by moderators.

I asked for it to be locked.

The whole premise of the thread turned out to be marginally true and the thread turned into another bash back and forth thread with no direction.

If that were true every thread here would be locked.

Proof yet again about the arbitrary nature of the moderation here.
Which Moderator, Brian?

Well, Obama again stated what was proven to be; untrue information, so, I guess I understand why you would have requested the thread closed/locked, since the title of the thread was anything but true, after scrutinizing how untrue it was after all.....

If you had any ability to read the TOU, you might grasp the fact that infractions were issued only for violations of that set of rules. Naturally, people like yourself would feel they didn't deserve any infractions but that is simply a result of failing to read and understand the rules by which the board operated.

You remind me of the individual who complains that they don't deserve a ticket for driving +15 over the limit because everybody else is doing it.

Threads take on a life of their own from the moment of inception.

It's a cowardly act to close it simply because you don't like the way it headed.

My apology to the moderators who I presumed closed it without cause.

I do not ascribe to closing of any thread unless the personal attacks get out of hand and your thread certainly didn't come close to that.

Nevertheless I started it thinking I knew a fact and I did not.

I experienced this too, JP.......but that was in the past.

I was pranked, poked/tormented, and castigated via PM and off-forum in numerous ways - all by the absolute power of unquestionable Moderation.

You knew a fact when you posted the thread. After some time, it became clear that the facts had changed slightly. Doesn't mean you have to close it. You simply stated that the facts presented by your Republican friends were incorrect............but, you shouldn't find that surprising.
