Quality Leather Belts Needed
OK, Just like most men, I've been wearing leather belts my whole life.
I've never spent more than $25 for one, and they never last more than 2 years before they stretch out or fall apart. I usually get the 1 1/2" belts as I wear jeans and they fit well. Well, I've lost some weight and need some new belts. Looking around online, I see some belts going for $60 and up. They look good, and I guess $60 is the new $25. So, does anybody have a particular brand or company that they have had good long lasting experience with? |

For the last 10 years I've been wearing a leather belt I got off some guy at a leatherworks booth at a WW2 re-enactment I went to to check out the vehicles. Think it cost 10-15 bucks, was a strip of heavy raw hide with a heavy buckle designed to carry ammo pouches.
Id get one like it from army navy or a similar souce or swap meet. I cut the belt down and drilled holes as needed, its been indestructable Started out tan, and as worn, took on a beautiful dark brown petina

Johnston and Murphy shoe stores have great belts. They are located in most big malls.

I have a Levi Straus belt I have been wearing for at least 30 years. It is still strong but is getting pretty misshapen. I try over the years to find something equal but all the new ones fall apart in no time.

There are lots of custom leather workers online now, but buyer beware. Lots of them use very light stock.
As far as production belts go, I prefer Bianchi belts. Bianchi is primarily a gun leather concern. Heavy stock, good buckles that are usually removable to customize, not too pricey. A version of this one is what I wear all the time and being a skinny old cowboy with no hips, I can say it holds my pants up very well, even when wearing a 1911 or my S and W 626. AMZN has the best prices on Bianchi belts I've seen. I have it in plain leather and also a tooled one as shown. Under 50 bucks on AMZN

I buy my belts from Lands End: Lands' End | Shop Quality Clothing, Home Goods, Gifts and more
Most are under $50, and they seem to last me nearly forever.

I bought one of these and love it. The latching mechanism is similar to the system on zip ties and allows almost infinite adjustment. You can buy them on Amazon. I saw them on Shark Tank.

I've had one of these belts for 3 years, and when laid flat, it's still straight. I carry a firearm with me most of the time, either a 1911 or one of my revolvers...and the belt is still straight.

You need something strong to hold the weight of that much denim...
