Numbers-wise, car and truck ads handily led the herd, followed by those for beer, cellphones, video games and pizza. The subtext here is that as we drive at least triple the speed limit, beer in one hand, cellphone in the other (cued to Call of Duty, natch), we should steer with our knees as we whiz to the nearest pizza joint.

And that maybe we’re such drunken flat-liners that we don’t know that the more a beer tastes like wolverine urine, the bigger its ad budget.

Pretty much describes the male denizens that drive around up here in huge pickup trucks. Most of them own lots of firearms, are undereducated, and quick to anger and like to fight, breed mindlessly, and have feral, abused looking females to Lord it over.

I don't know. I dislike beer especially American beer.

Don't watch football, either in a sports bar or at home, in fact I don't own a television at all.

I once attended an American football game in San Francisco, back in the late 1950s I think, maybe at the old Kezar football stadium; it was when a guy named Y.A. Tittle was a famous player, I remember.

Watching grown men run into each other was mildly amusing. Once.

Other than that, I have no interest in American football.

Football, as it is called, in the rest of the world, is known here as soccer.
