Need an attachment for a drill
I drive tiny eyelet screws into wood. Here is a generic example of an eyelet screw:
I’m doing this by hand but would like to find an attachment for a power drill to would permit the drill to grip and drive this type of screw. I also drill a small hole before driving the screw. I found the idea at the link below and will give it a try but wanted to know if others knew of better ways. A Faster Way to Install Eye Screws - Fine Homebuilding TIA |

The hook method, with due diligence (and your pilot holes), would seem to be the easiest way to do it in quantity.
With smaller eyelets and a hand-chuck, I've just clamped them into the chuck directly. Certainly more time consuming to chuck and unchuck each one, though, and that's assuming they're small enough to get a grip on.

^I tried that but the chuck on the drill has 3 pieces that grip the bit and due to that it will not hold the eyelet squarely.
BTW, does anyone know the pieces of the chuck that grip the drill are named? |

Right below the wire in their main photo is the drill bit tool. Fitment to you eye hooks is the issue, or just get those fasteners for the ceiling if that will work for you app. The tool usually comes included in the box of fasteners. Suspend-It 400 sq. ft. Something like that might work. Seems like you'd need a driver for each size eyebolt. A few times I've needed to install a bunch and it is a hassle.

A friend of mine makes and sells a drill gadget for installing fence stays that may very well work perfectly. I can't remember the name, but google "fences stay installation tool" and you'll probably come up with it.
Okay, his website is "staytwist.com". Take a look.

The way I have always thought to do it is this:
Put a drill bit backwards into you drill. Or if the eye screws are larger, a piece of round metal stock Cut a notch in the end, which will go over the head of the screw. Then run the drill and zip the screw right in. I think Lee Valley Tools (Canada) used to sell such a tool pretty cheap. But not hard to make one. Basically the head of the screw goes into the notch, and then the round stock spins the head right into the material.
