If you take the pages out say a few at a time, it fits into the category marked "shredder". That or get an industrial shredder.

True, you certainly are no Biblical scholar.

If you knew anything of the science of textural criticism, you would KNOW the text, itself, is beyond any reasonable. It is your desire, and hope to believe that "some groups rewrote/reworded - call it whatever you like, to suit their needs." However, that hope is without substance.
Reject the Bible if you wish, but don't try to argue that the text is not reliable--that shows your ignorance of the subject.

I have no "hope" in this matter. I stated a suspicion. You say my comments are without substance. Can you prove my suspicions never occurred?

No - you cannot.

"Suspicions" in themselves are not evil. Another word might be "intellectual curiosity"--and that is good. However, when facts are presented to counter "suspicions", the wise man, makes his belief follow the facts.

As I said, many people reject the Bible for a great many reasons. But to state that the text is not reliable is not a worthy reason.

So let me ask you, assuming that those of us who have heard the word and ignored it are going to get spanked, what about all those people who lived before Jesus, and all those people who never heard of him? Do they get punished too?

Sounds almost like the story of the ham in the pan.

A little girl asked her mom why the ends of the ham was cut before being put into the pan. Mom said "I don't know. My mom always did it and this is what I do now.". Threats (Onan pulled out and got whacked), Guilt (Christ died for you but really knew he wouldn't die so what is the sacrifice), and the list goes on.

I'm sure there is an "out" somewhere. It was ok for Lot to have sex with 2 hotties who were his daughters but now we cannot. Well, back then the genes were "cleaner" so it wasn't as bad but now, well.....
