How to get egg off the car?

The windshield wash stuff won't touch it.

Hot water and dawn dish soap...not boiling, just hot.

Use a good wax afterward, just in case it happens again.

A water soaked rag placed over the spot until it softens the remains. Then cut and buff the spot.

Steamer cleaner.

A steam cleaner is wwhat you need.
It takes off tree sap and will clean the daylights out of the grease grout in your kitchen in a jiffy.

I bought mine new in the box from craigslist.
Here's one off CL in your area for $40.
Shark -- Multi Surface Steam Cleaning

"Self-serve car wash", the kind where you insert a dollar and get a few minutes with a high-pressure washing gun.

With the Shark you can also steam clean the little miscreant who egged your car.

It's also loads of fun being in the car... like a $7 amusement park ride .

Dried egg is like a glue in some ways. Not a waterproof glue fortunately. So as mentioned warm water and a cloth left on the places and kept moist should reactivate it.

There are no aggressive chemical components I can think of so the paint or clear coat should be okay as well.
