Buenos Aires ------> Miami in a closed container

Might be easier than you think;

If the car is over 25 years old, I think it could be imported without the hassle and expense of the DOT/EPA.

Perhaps a good experienced freight forwarder that speaks Spanish also, could help set things up.

Of course there is the paperwork necessary at both places, and to clear customs and pay any import duties at this end., and perhaps a surety bond.

And the US Customs will want it inspected for foreign bacteria and pests lurking.

That's a nice w115 pickup conversion, I especially like the euro lights and hubcaps on it.

XE.COM suggests the currency conversion rate

Today's =
1 ARS (Argentine Peso) = 0.16289 US$..

The Orange w115 "Benzamino" has an asking price of $50,000 (presumably in) Argentine Pesos......if I interpreted the MercadoLibre advert correctly..

When I lived in Argentina the most feared car was a green Ford Falcon.

And rightly so.

The Argentine secret Police drove those, and when they came for you, your chance of being "disappeared" permanently, increased greatly.

FoMoCo sold the sedan body dies for the 1960-1963 Ford Falcons, to Argentina, where they lived on in production until 1980, being cosmetically uodated over the years.

Black Ford Falcons the ones with yellow roofs -- were the taxicabs.

Also, the 1966-1969 Ford Torino sedan body dies were acquired by the Argentineans which continued to build them, as well as the full size 1969 Ford Galaxie 500s, produced and cosmetically modified a bit, and sold in Argentina as the Ford LTD as I recall.
